Smartlite Led lights have the latest range of BLT Led Bulbs brings a new level of brightness to energy efficient lighting using Cree Led Chips.

Smartlite thus has 2 main LED bulb and LED globe ranges being the BLT range and the SCL range as well as some others for special applications.

The BLT Led Bulb is the brighter then the SCL range, for those seeking brightness above all other factors, and the SCL offers best value for money but at lower brightness levels. The bulbs come in a variety of fitting styles, ranging from MR11, MR16, GU10 and E27(edison screw), operating at 12 volt or 240 volt and different beam angles from 10 degrees for narrow beams of light to 120 degrees for a very wide light spread'.

All the Led bulbs feature very low power consumption, well below compact flourescents, a very long life, again well in excess of any other form of bulb, low operating temperatures in comparison to normal bulbs. All bulbs carry a minimum of a 1 year warranty with life rated from 10,000 to 100,000 hours, assuming suitable, stable and regulated transformers (12 years at 24/7 operation or minimum of 23 years at more normal bulb operating conditions).

Led Bulbs come in White (6000k) and Warm White (3000k) and standard LED colours and even colour changing (RGB) with remote colour control.

There have been significant developments in Led Bulb technology and manufacturing practices. Traditionally Led Bulbs have been classified by wattage as per the conventional bulbs and some resellers have classified their bulbs by total power usage, which is generally higher than the led chip classification due to power losses in the electronic circuitry driving the led bulbs. The only true measure of light output is the lumen output - a measure of total light output. A second common measure is the Lux figure which measures brightness at a given point from the bulb. However a low lumen bulb at a very small beam angle or with a central bright spot will have a higher brightness (Lux) figure for a small area. Thus Smartlite now has 2 main ranges of Led Bulbs with the occasional special bulb. We have come across variations of bulbs rated at 5 watts with a lumen output as low as 60 lumens for white up to 220 lumens and even 270 lumens for a lower rated 3 by 1 watt bulb) for the same rated Cree led bulb.

Energy efficient Smartlite Led Bulbs come in 2 watt, 3 watt, 5 watt and 7 watt options. The 2 watt starts with a lumen level of 70 lumens, 3 watt at 100 lumens and 5 watt from 150 lumens for white at up to 270 lumens. The lumen level and fitting type in general determines the price point of the bulb.
